Words With Cheysuli

Sometimes it is important to keep an eye on what is going on around you.  There might be something fun right under your nose.  You wouldn’t want to miss it!  This is especially true if there is another cat in the house.  You might miss a chance to pounce.

Many of you may worry as you read about my teachings that there is much to do to be good or something.   No one has to do anything.  That is the beauty of it.   Every pet is perfect just as they are.  It is only humans who are critical and fault finding and that is because they can not see the beauty of perfection.

Tabby Tuesday: The Book of Gemini Chapter 3

I am practicing the sacred washing of the head with Ichiro.  I like doing much better to Momma when I wash her hands and sometimes her nose or chin.   Cheysuli says that when you are a divine being like a cat or dog or rabbit or ferret or rat or mouse or bird you should always get your spit all over your people. It is very important to show your ownership.

When you do it to someone you do not like so much, you are incurring lots of divine favor.   So I am hoping that Momma will feed me some sardines.   Although Cheysuli tells me that I cannot expect sardines just because I washed Ichiro’s head.  That would take the gift out of it.  But I can hope so that they will take the taste out of my mouth.

Meezer Monday–The Book of Ichiro Chapter 3

So there I was, waiting for Mom to put up my post for Monday but she wasn’t around.   “Chey,” I said, “Do you think that it is okay of Mom to be so late before putting up my post?  I mean isn’t she supposed to serve me?”

“So long as she serves me first,” Chey said.

“Yeah, but she’s not around at all!” I said.

Chey nodded.

“So isn’t that like wrong.”

“Indeed it is,” Chey replied.

“So what do we do about it?”

“We have to forgive her.”

I nodded and then asked, “Why?”

“Because.   If we don’t, we won’t get fed.”

Well now that had my attention.   “What do you mean we wouldn’t get fed?”

“While she is there to worship us, if she fails we can’t just kick her out or we don’t get fed.  So we must forgive her.  That is our burden to bear,” Chey said.

“Wow.  That is like one BIG BURDEN,” I said.

“And so it is,” Chey replied

Wednesday Words With Cheysuli

Chey is pulling on string. What is your caption? It is important in life to lead your humans where you want to go.  In this case, it takes a leash.  You will find some humans are more easily led.  I believe these folks are much more highly evolved and have the chance of becoming a cat in their next life.  Others, like the Male, are poorly evolved and need a lot more assertive leading.  Do not be afraid to let them know what you need. Only by their loving service and compassion for you can they ever hope to reach enlightenment rather than just the television remote.

Insist upon their understanding. Insist upon your feedings and most of all, remind them that they are better for adopting you!

The Book of Gemini, Chapter 2

After I talked to Momma I went to Cheysuli and said that I would be extra nice to her about her religion and all.

“But it’s not my religion, really,” Chey said.  “I am just the head of it.”

“I know,” I said.   “I understand that you are really insecure about your divinity and need to let us all worship you so that you feel good about yourself instead of being in touch with your inner divine spark.”

“No,” Chey said.  “My divine spark is just so big that it overshadows all of yours, so that people will notice me first.    But that’s okay, so long as my getting noticed means other cats and dogs will be noticed and well served too.”

“I think that even a Goddess should be nicer to Momma after all she does for you,” I told Cheysuli.

“And I am nice,” Cheysuli said.  “I follow the rules I have set down.    Sometimes I sit upon her.  Sometimes I meow at her.  Sometimes I make biscuits on her.   I let her pet me and rub my belly.   I eat the food she serves even though it is health food.   I do not jump on the counter when she can see.   I do not scratch on the furniture when she can see.  I uphold all the good cat rules that allow her to serve me effortlessly.”

“Wow” I said.  “You do work hard, don’t you?”

And Cheysuli said that she does.

“I am glad that I only have a little divine spark and not a big one and that I have very little need for reassurance.  You have to work way to hard to be Cheysuli,” I said.

The Book of Ichiro, Chapter 2

So I have learned that I can pretty much do what I want so long as it involves the humans and not Cheysuli.  I guess that Meowism does not allow cats to jump on her head even if it is in their nature.  She says that sometimes we have to curb our nature for the greater good.   Personally, I think that she should curb her nature and let me jump on her head for the greater good.

“Ichiro,” she said, “No one is helped by you jumping on my head so it can’t be for the greater good.”

So I will try and curb that.   But what if I fail, I asked?

Chey told me that it doesn’t matter because I will still be loved and a wonderful at who should tell the world about Meowism anyway.     It is better to have lived well and failed sometimes than to never try at all.   And I said that’s cool because now I’m going to try and get some food from the refrigerator but first I have to kill this string.   There’s no hurry in Meowism–it’s all about the NOW.

Thankful Thursday

Now my faithful followers of Meowism, we come to Thankful Thursday, that day when we show our gratitude for all that we have.   We have our mews to say thank you (and perhaps get more) and then we do what all good cats do when we are grateful–we eat, we nap and we sleep!  And sometimes we have a good playtime–even if it is with a pal.

How are you showing gratitude today?

Wisdom from Chey (on Wednesday

Say you know Chey loves you and we'll donate more money to Max for each cat who does!Naturally, cats by nature are generous.  Have you ever seen us not give treats to our humans when we catch something?  It is important to train your human in generosity.  I am pleased to say that by rounding up a few dollars the Woman donated $25 in her and my name thanks to the email sign up.   This means that Max’s Woman is that much closer to her San Francisco walk goal.

I also believe my followers should move.   I like the feather toy and if they don’t move the feather toy doesn’t move.  Look at how well Max has his human trained!  Generosity and movement.   And real live dead shrimps.   I mean that’s a given isn’t it?

The Book Of Ichiro, Chapter 1

So I said to Cheysuli, why should I worship you?

And Chey said, “You don’t have to.  You’re a cat.  Pets don’t have to worship me.  They are too busy being worshipped by their owners.   I just want to be remembered as the one who reminds them to worship their pets.”

So I said, that’s cool.  So how come it’s like a religion?  Don’t you fight for souls or something?

And Chey said, “Well you know, lots of Gods do.   But Bast and I decided it’s not really what the humans believe but how they act.   We don’t want to get involved in all those human soul wars.  After all, what would we WANT with a bunch of human souls?!  No, we think they can keep their own beliefs so long as they are kind to those who are most vulnerable.”

So any way I still think that’s like way cool.   And all.  But I kind of like to fight so I asked about that and Chey told me that it’s okay to fight if I’m a cat because like that’s my nature and I’m not mad about stuff and things.   And it’s okay to defend myself if I like get attacked and stuff so I think that’s all cool too.

So have you signed up for the newsletter? Today is the last day for our contest to help Max’ person by getting money per newsletter sign up!   We’re lower than we thought on money so come on and help us.  We would cap at $50.00 but we’re nowhere near that.    Have a perfect fourth!   Fun but not too noisy!

Boxing Day and Thankful Thursday

It’s International Boxing Day and I’m not sure boxes need their own day as every day should be boxing day. You may wonder why I am not in mine, but it’s full of stuff and I’m not supposed to be and I am too smart to crawl in while the cameras on are.  I have learned how to avoid scandal.  For now.   If you think I’m excited, well it’s because my religion has made Huffington Post. I would love it if you would vote and say you are ready to sign up for Meowism!   This link should take you to the site and Meowism but sometimes it goes one later or earlier.

As you know, of course, the best way to train humans is to reward them.  We really like what Max’s person is doing for other humans by walking.  Now we want her back and focusing on Max and having plenty of green papers to buy lots of real live dead shrimp.   To this end, I have decided that the Woman will donate $.50 to the cause for every newsletter sign up we have by July 4.   Now you should only sign up once otherwise you’ll get more than one newsletter.   We will cap this at $50.00.   Additionally we will add that to any money we get from our Zazzle store at the end of July.

To re-iterate–you have until July 4 to sign up for the newsletter (it comes out once a month and shouldn’t be too annoying) and we’ll donate $.50 for each unique sign up (including those cats who have already signed up).   Use the box in the sidebar.

Also, if you like something in our Zazzle shop, we will be checking back on July 31 to see how much money was made and will add that to the amount we gathered from newsletter sign ups.

Some of you had some trouble signing up for the newsletter so we have gone to a link rather than a form and that seems to work better for us.  We got a couple of signups even from those who thought it didn’t work. We’ll go make sure you aren’t on there several times!   And we may have to extend our deadline!
