Well this was an easy one. I knew it wouldn’t be too hard but I was hoping to have a least a short time before someone guessed. As soon as the Woman FINALLY managed to get this posted (she was soo slow!), Laila and Minchie guessed it! “This is Seattle’s Pike Place Market’s unofficial mascot, Rachel, a bronze cast piggy bank that weighs 550 pounds (250 kg), has been located since 1986 at the corner of Pike Place under the “Public Market Center” sign.
We just had to jump in right away as we usually don’t have a clue where you are Chey!”
The Island Cats are right–it does look like ham heaven doesn’t it?! However, it is more likely FISH heaven as Pike’s Place is actually a Fish market–so I am not sure why Rachel got to be their mascot.
At any rate, this is an older photo as the Woman was too lazy to get any place interesting and new for me to visit. I really MUST get on her! Or beg more photos from my friends! Sigh. Perhaps she’ll get some place new and interesting soon…
PS. Are you purring for Herman today? I am!
