Meezer Rule Wednesday: Donate to project HAM!
Yes that’s right, the Meezer’s ham bank is getting dangerously low. We need to help them get another little piggy during this holiday season. In that interest, like other celebs before me, I am auctioning off some of my famous jewels.
It was actually Mom Robyn’s idea long ago. You see, I have no interest in wearing a collar, even so fine a one as she made me for my wedding. She said that some time perhaps I could auction it off for a good cause. We’ve been looking for one all year. We almost told Opus and Roscoe to use it in their raffle, but then we didn’t get around to it. We did however donate. When we read about Miles and Sammy needing help, we said THIS is what we’ve been waiting for.
Don’t need a fine, exceptionally well made, good enough for a meezer collar? You can still donate!
Details: place your bid in the comments. You can also email me at Cheysuli at mysiamese dot com if you wish to hide your bid or have further questions. I do see all comments as they come in and can also respond to questions asked in the comments.
This is such a wonderful collar, I think the bidding should start at $5.00. But I believe the price can skyrocket from there.
Latte has opened the bidding at $5.00 (thank you my handsome husband).
The prize money will go right to the same paypal that KC and ML are using for the donations. No paypal fees are deducted from your donations or the amount paid for the collar. We will send payment instructions to the high bidder.
Once we get confirmation that the payment has been made, we will ship off your prize. We will pay all shipping and handling. We will email you when we have sent it off (as this time of year mail can sometimes get slow).
The collar has the lovely charm that is on the chain now, which I wore for the wedding. For something simpler, that would look stunning on the perfect tuxie, there is a single pearl (shown next to the pendant.)
Further details from Mom Robyn:
The materials for the famous necklace and accompanying charm are
14 Karat Gold Filled (20% 14 Karat gold over base metal, so all surface metal is 14K gold) and freshwater pearls.
To help out, so a human can also wear it as a necklace, I’ll send them a single strand 14 karat gold chain (same weight type chain as shown but a single strand) to go with it. Or the human could wear the charm on it and the (obviously prettier) cat could wear the necklace. Or vice versa. Or the cat could make the human wear it all.
My details–I believe that my neck was about 8 inches when measured, and I have a bit of play in the sizing. Having sized this for what it works for, it is too small for an ankle bracelet, being shorter than the ankle bracelets the Woman has. It does not close around her ankle. It does fit around Gemini’s neck and there is some room in there to it is not too tight. Not that you can see it through her fur! However, she is much heaftier boned cat than I am so it should fit most cats. If we need a longer chain for a larger cat, the Woman be happy to help reimburse Mom Robyn for a longer chain or perhaps we can use an extender. After all, isn’t half the joy of wearing this knowing that it touched my fur?
Current High Bid: Lilly Lu at $40.00 (there may be a delay in this update so check the comments before bidding) And my apologies for not being home sooner to get that up!
