Think of the peace globes (and are you ready for THIS November 7th?). Yes, we are just doing a blog blast for peace. Did you know there are studies that when people meditated regularly as a group on peace that the crime rate went down? I think that means although we might not be doing some great heroic thing when we participate, but we are putting energy into peace rather than hatred or war. I think it is wonderful.
I like to think that each time any cat posts about someone else needing help or offers an auction to help a cat they’ve only ever met online or donates to a cat they’ve only heard of because of other online friends we are creating a vaster energetic resource of love and support around the world.
It only takes one. I am reminded of this (although I am not yet pink) because October is breast cancer awareness month. I heard that Susan G. Komen was a woman who had breast cancer. She died because medicine couldn’t help her. She wanted to raise money specifically for breast cancer research so that other women wouldn’t have to go through what she was going through. She started the walk and people donated. Susan is no longer with us, but how many of us have either walked or donated to friends and family who have participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure? One woman. One idea that didn’t sound like much on the surface. But look where it’s gone.
Thank you Ping–it was actually Susan Komen’s sister who started it. Still one woman on a mission. I knew the story didn’t sound exactly right!
Oh don’t forget blog action day on October 15th either!
And for those who missed it: now we are pink!
