So I have been cuddling and thinking. Mom was taking part in a virtual retreat through Mark Silver’s Heart of Business on Friday so was not as active as she normally is about things that happen in the world.
I have to say, I love the virtual retreat because she sits around a lot, meditating, although I can do without her chanting as part of it! I mean, when she’s just sitting there, I can sit on her! So long as I beat Chey.
Mark heard about what happened by accident and talked a little about it during one of the calls. The final check in call had a lot of questions of a spiritual nature about what happened. There are no answers. I guess the one thing that came out of that as doing our best to hold our spiritual light as clean and clear as we can, no matter how hard that may be.
We have linked to the site and if you are interested, Mark does these virtual retreats six times a year. You do not need to participate in other Heart of Business things to take part (although you can). It is mostly for small business owners who want to stay connected to their spirituality even while they run a profitable business.
The virtual retreats are a way of getting some extra spiritual nourishment. While Mark is Sufi, you do not need to be Sufi yourself to take part. The Sufis are very open and accepting of anyone. One huge teaching they have is that there is no God but God (and you can use any name for God you like) and that t here is no one correct path to the divine, so long as you approach it with love.
