Meezer Monday

Sunday was a fine day to hang out and rest my eyes while sitting in the sun.  I love having a pillow where I want to lie.

The woman took some photos but they did not turn out the way she wanted. She is also shopping around for a back up battery and perhaps a couple more compact flash cards to have on her vacation this summer. She doesn’t want to run out of space. Of course they are taking the netbook.

Personally, I think she needs to invest in more ham. In fact, she was at the Farmer’s Market on Saturday and the lady she purchases her eggs from was selling ham but the Woman did not get any!  I mean really!  I think it’s horrible!!! A disgrace.  Pastured, organic ham!  Nitrite free.  And she turned it down.

I still can’t quite wrap my mind around it.

Sunday Guest Star: Cory and friends

So many cats got that I had put a big old hint–the sign in the corner reads Tokul.  When searching it many of them found Tokul Creek Washington–and yes I was there.  I think I am at the watershed area.   It’s near the Snoqualmie River.  In fact the Woman was thinking she was getting close to the base of the falls but that road no longer goes through. There is a lot of construction down there right now.

Cory was the fastest guesser!  ‘Kaika was only second behind! I am impressed at how many things my international friends said.  The Poupounette found that Tokul is part of Hancock Timber.  Eric and Flynn said it was in King Country (yes it is!).  Simba pointed out that it is in the Iron Horse State Park in Washington.  Lots of these things we didn’t know–but we did find that there are a couple of branches of the trail (and we don’t know which one this ends at) so we will give everyone credit.

I think this is technically the END of the trail rather than the beginning, which appears on the map to start up the hill.  The Woman didn’t walk all the way up there. She took this photo for a Find Chey that wouldn’t be impossible!  We are impressed with the numbers of cats who googled: Katz and other Tales, Parker, Sweet Praline, Sniffie and the Florida Furkids, and Pierro (although maybe he just knew?).

I do not think there are any ticks here this time of year–it’s still a bit chilly for them to come out, so I am pretty safe. Ticks are not a big deal.  We do get them but not the really bad ones and then mostly in the summer time.   I am more worried about coyotes, elk, bears, cougars and vishus deer.  We see coyotes and vishus deer near our house and this far out, our friends see bears and sometimes there are signs of cougars.  On the way to her work, the Woman sees Elk, which look an awful lot like vishus deer, so to be safe I will watch out for them too!

Find Chey Friday

Well this looks like an interesting forest to hang out in. I hope there are no wild critters that might find me tasty.  I hope someone finds me soon. I seem to be slightly off the path and I do not know which way is home!

Carnival of the Cats

Thankful Thursday

I am quite thankful for all the nice folks who ended up wishing the Woman a happy birthday. It takes the pressure of off me.

I am also thankful that photo sessions mean the red feather toy. That’s my favorite!

We’re quite thankful for the lovely citrine/third chakra pendant the Male got the Woman from the Hottie’s Mom’s store!  It was very nice.

Now, for those of you who are on Facebook, we would love it if you would fan the Woman’s facebook page for her Zazzle site!  Don’t worry–she’s got a few Cheysuli items that will be going up there–rejects from the pet portraits that she hopes to send in to the contest that The Cat’s Meow was sponsoring! Hey–for a Canon 7D we can’t NOT try!

What’s Up Wednesday

Well this is the latest in the Woman’s attempts to get an underexposed artsy photo of me. She has the underexposed part right.

She worked all day to get me to sit down and let her photograph me on the chair today so that she could get a slightly brighter and have the light angled a bit better but I refused.  She put everything away FINALLY so then I could sit on my favorite chair!

I’m training her well–to get me out there she let me play with the feather toy that she doesn’t bring out nearly enough.  Ah it was wonderful!

I supose I should be nice. After all today is her birthday and she is like a gazillion squillion years old…

Tabby Tuesday

Well this is one of Momma’s three decent photos of the fifty or so she took. Of course it was of me.   She tried to get some artistic ones of Cheysuli but Chey was not cooperating. At first she tried to get her in the sun on the white bed to overexpose and play with that but Chey would not get on the bed.  Then she tried to get her underexposed on a black sheet on the chair that Cheysuli loves to lie in the minute Momma moved.  Momma spent and hour on Farmville waiting for Cheysuli but Cheysuli never came back downstairs to sit in the chair.

Momma was not happy.  After all, she could NEVER, EVER consider playing Farmville if it hadn’t been for Cheysuli not cooperating…

Well at least she got two good ones of me.  This is the one she liked better.

Meezer Monday

Well after having her first photography class, the teacher is prepared to give the Woman lots of tips for photographing me.  She has to take and get prints of 36 photos for her class in three weeks.  I am certain I shall have to pose for many of them.

I hope she doesn’t get so artsy with the rest. Doesn’t she understand that part of my appeal is my lovely blue eyes?  She can make the rest of me black and white in photoshop after, don’t you think?

Sunday Guest Star: Laila and Minchie

It seemed everyone knew this one.  Cory started out lightly saying I was in Paris before adding where I was in a later comment.   However, before that Laila and Minchie said, “We know you are on top of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, France.”   Sei-chan, Tama-chan, Yuu-chan Bibi-chan (did I get you all?) and Tommy said, “It is indeed the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, and Chey is looking down the Champs Elysées!”   so we will take that as the answer to Laila and Minchie’s question (which means Simba also had the direction right, I THINK).

The Woman’s older photos of the Arc were all so degraded (it’s been nearly 30 years) so she couldn’t copy them.   She has a few others but thought they would be too difficult to recognize so used a flicker photo this time.   That’s why she’s not as certain where I am and what I am looking at.   So many of our friends from far away can never guess where I am so we wanted something that our French friends would get.  It seems that every body love Paris, not that I blame them.

You see according to reliable internet resources, the French are thinking they will make a statue of me to add to the top.   I think it’s a fine fine idea and no doubt one of the reasons cats so love France.

The Woman laughed at reading comments in French and she was appalled at how long she had to stop and think on a couple of them for translations.   It’s been WAY too long.  Perhaps she can talk the male into visiting there again someday… this summer she gets to go see his mother in Alaska (just a hint for those who follow FCF…).

Find Chey Friday

Well now this is a good view.  I can see everything. Now what do you think I see? Where am I?

Carnival of the Cats

Thankful Thursday

Well I am quite thankful that all my friends think it is more important to nap than worry about specism in the Supreme Court.

I hate having to move sometimes, especially when it’s raining.  It’s been raining here a lot.

I suppose if I were a justice I might be forced to work when it rained.

And when it was sunny.

Even if I didn’t want to.

I think I shall become a professional napper.
