Find Chey Friday

Did you know the Woman almost forgot to send me out traveling?!  I can’t believe it.  At any rate, that means I didn’t get to travel as far.  Perhaps that will help.  I am getting hungry–I wonder what this HAM tastes like?

Carnival of the Cats

Thankful Thursday

I am quite glad that looks from Gemini do not kill. I don’t think she is happy with me at all.  I am not sure why. I am such a pleasant cat.

We are all thankful for the lovely things people said about the cards with me on them, though I knew such things would be a crowd pleaser.  How could anyone not love me?  Perhaps I shall have the Woman put them on poster sized items so people can have me larger than life.  I think that would make the World a better place. Don’t you?

Woo Hoo Wednesday

Excuse me while I bite on my leg to be sure it’s clean.

Finally, the Woman has recognized how wonderful I am.  The Woman has FINALLY created cards with me on them. I say it’s about time. If you’d like to see them (you’ve seen the pictures mostly I think), they are here.

Now, my apologies for not visiting more on Tuesday.   The Woman was working all day again.  I hate it when she does that.   I wish she wouldn’t. She is, after all, required to stay here and attend only to my needs.   When will she learn?

Tabby Tuesday

Momma was not happy with me this weekend.  I woke her up with my mewing early on Saturday morning.   She was trying to sleep in.   Then I walked on her. Then I tickled her.   Then I walked on Dad and he tossed me on her because he thought I was going to visit.  He was right.   And then when she got up, I kept mewing at her and at the walls.   I love to talk to the walls.

She thought I was being noisy for no good reason.  Really, I just wanted to make conversation. She was gone a lot and I was lonely so I had to talk to her… and the walls and the invisible bugs.  So I did.

Now, it’s time for me to take a bath.  I don’t know why she wants to disturb me now.  After all, I did my talking on Saturday morning.

Meezer Monday

It has been an interesting weekend.  First the Woman was teaching the Male.  He thinks that cats are disobedient.  She said that I always come with her when she tells me to, so I am very obedient.  He says that I would do it anyway (I would).  The Woman (bless her heart–she is actually smarter than I give her credit for) told him that he just needs to learn to tell us to do things we want to do anyway.  Then he would find us much more obedient.

I am quite proud of her.

There are also rumors that I shall be the celebrity judge on the new and upcoming Siamese Idol.  Keep an eye out here for more notices later in the summer about this extravaganza!   All cats shall be able to participate (not just Siamese).

Sunday Guest Star: ‘Kaika

While most of the cats, like Sniffy and the Florida Furrkids said, “That’s one GIANT log! Funny thing is it’s right in a neighborhood ’cause there’s a house in the background. We’re Stumped! MOL, stumped! We made a funny!!  Sniffie and the Florida Furkids”, Kaika found me, saying “Snoqualmie?”.

Yes, I am back in Snoqualmie.  I am about a block down from the railroad museum (which may be shown in a future Find Chey–you never know!) by this large log.  ‘Kaika tells me, “All I know about it is that it’s a 39-ton log called the “Big Log,” and the company that donated it ran the Weyerhauser Snoqualmie Falls Sawmill.”  I have to say that that is more than the Woman knows for sure. She liked taking photos around the big log, but she didn’t read the signs so isn’t sure!  She thought she could easily look stuff up online, but failed miserably.

Many cats had quite creative ideas about what this log could be used for–anything from Sasquatch furniture to extra large scratching posts!

The Meezers as always amused the Woman.  We would really like to ask all of them if we can get a video of them singing their song,

HOLY FREAKING HUGE TREE!!!!!!!!!!

Can you imagine getting a splinter from that thing? CRIPES!

::singing our usual Find Chey Song:: we’re too stoopid for this game, too stoopid for this game, so stoopid we’re lame.”

Find Chey Friday

Well, it’s been so easy to find me lately. This one was taken while I was out learning about the Earth on Earth Day. Look at this huge log!  Can you imagine the scratching post it would have made?  At any rate, I think this should challenge my intrepid finders this week!

Carnival of the Cats

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful that Cheysuli really did not get my tail even though it looks like it.

We are both thankful for the sunshine.

And the fact that Momma was home more on Wednesday and Thursday–even though those are the days of her “real” job so that means she was very slow.

I do not know why she worries when she does so much else.

We are also so thankful for all of our friends who fanned her facebook page on her art. She has a couple of new photos for cards and stuff but she has been too busy to put them up.

Both Cheysuli and I are thankful that it is Earth Day and that we have EARTH here at our house, even if we don’t get to out on it much. Happy Earth Day!!!

Blue Wednesday

I am feeling a bit blue as the Woman was gone all day on Tuesday. While the business is nice because that means more ham and treats for me, I hate being alone.

I think I’ll just lie here and look pitiful…

Tabby Tuesday

Well Momma is going to be gone a lot this week. She is doing some more vacation coverage work. I think this other woman is on vacation way too much!  I have not gotten lots of Tuesdays with Momma in a long time!

That is not fair because she needs time to take lots and lots of photos of me!  Because I am so pretty.

In other news, Momma’s friend is hoping that she can get the word out about two cats that are looking for a home.  Their owner was a friend of a friend and that person died.   One cat is about 15 and the other is probably 8 or 9.   They are searching around for ways to find a home for them, but aren’t real sure how to go about it. Momma gave them Petfinder’s info and also suggested calling and getting on a list at the place where she volunteers.  Can anyone else give other ideas?   It sounds like there are likely to be health problems as well, although it is hard to say as Momma is hearing this from her friend who is hearing from her friend…
