Yes We Did

Chey considers whether to wear this earring from Angus Mor to the Ball

We made history. While I was disappointed not to be the first cat in office (in fact, the first non human in the history of the world to be in office) I am proud to be a supporter of President Obama.

As he said, each new generation inspires the generations to come. Teachers and speakers and laborers are the people who will make the changes to come. I am proud to be a feline American. I am proud to be part of change.

History will look back upon January 20, 2009 and say, “They did good.” So now it’s time to get to work.

Cheysuli’s Commentary on the InAugeration

As we move forward, let us not be burdened by old ways of thinking, but let us explore new possibilities to solve old problems. For in the end, it is not me vs. you or Dem. vs. Rep. that will restore our nation to glory. It is not us vs. them either. It is just us. All of us, working together for a better day, a better America, a better world.

YES WE CAN.

Gemini Snoozes in Front of Fire

img_5628aI am so happy that I get to snooze in front of the fire. We are all so thrilled that after today it is President Obama! We have waited so long.

As I am a social little cat, I should have been out and about organizing parties or something but it was much more fun to snooze her where it is warm. Can you imagine? Momma is going to go up and ski today. She is quite excited. She also found out that for now one of the places that is usually only open weekends will be open on the next couple of Fridays. She likes that because it gives her some variety as to where she will ski.

All in all things are good and I am happy.

You go President Obama!!! You brought me hope and now I am hoping that we can get something done!!!  But first I think I need a nap. All that excitement made me tired.

It’s Time for Chey-tocks

img_5831aThe buns had a bum last week and Sophia said they need more Chey-tocks. Well far be it from me to not show off my lovely tocks.

I am sure this photo at this time could be taken as political commentary upon the outgoing administration. As I am no longer in the public eye, but am rather pulling others into the public eye, well I don’t have to worry about what others think or say. I am the one doing the spin now.

If there’s a bit of a swagger in that walk it’s because oh so very soon there will be President Obama! Considering the mess he inherited, I think I’m glad he won and not me. Just thinking about it means I need a nap.

Look at me!  I’m on High Five Sunday over at Zoolatry!  Thank you so much.

Don’t I look great?

Sunday Guest Star

209003_1168133453We were surprised that more cats didn’t recognize this place. We had hoped to give our Southeastern or at least our Florida friends a better chance. Samantha and Tigger suggested this place and it’s th Sun Glow Pier in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Kaika actually guessed correctly but we weren’t sure of the name of the eatery there.

I think it’s Crabby Joe’s Deck and Grill in Daytona Beach!

With some help fro Kaika and the clues coming on, Cory Cat did some intensive googling and came up with the answer we were certain about!

Ok…now that I had enough information to put my google prowess to work, it’s Sunglow Pier in Daytona Beach (but I had to use the restaurant info from Kaika to get that). I still think Margaritaville is the right answer!

Maggie and Zoey–we want to point out that you were close this time! You are not always wrong. At least you had the right state!

we think it looks a lot like the Cocoa Beach Pier just across the river from us… (the Indian River and the Banana River that is, with Merritt Island in between).
But then, we’ve never been right yet

Mickey had this astute thought:

No idea where you are,but I hope they serve a delicious meal of fish for you after your nap :)
Purrs Mickey

But most cats agreed with Daisy:

Margaritaville?

Perhaps I’ll go there next time…

Toys Bring Cats Together

img_5909aEven though we don’t always like each other, it is nice to have someone to play with new toys with.

We love our flingamastring toy.  Gemini comes running when she hears it go off!  I quite like watching her at it but  I have not yet attacked it.

I know, we mostly don’t seem to like each other but we do like each other a little bit.  Sometimes.  Every now and then. When we’re distracted. Or when Georgia is around. And when we play chase.

Cheysuli Shares Why Ignore is her Favorite Word

img_5908aMy Meezer Rule for today is:

Let the other Cats think you are listening and then ignore them…

Ignore really is my favorite word. I’m good at it. Also it sounds so fun as it rolls off the tongue. Try it. You need just the right yowl for it you know.

As far as doing the ignoring, I’m also good at that. It makes you seem really important. It allows you to get others to beg for your attention. It makes you important. Consider all the famous cats who would no doubt be less famous if they didn’t practice ignore?

Now, let’s all go out and ignore someone important today!
