Happy Nap Year!

My resolution for next year: to loose no more cat friends. Hear that Universe?! I said every cat should be healthy and happy all year!!!!

Meezer Rule Wednesday

Well what should I have as a rule for today. How about leave me alone and think of your own rule Woman? I’m napping.

In my retrospective, one of my first posts feels a bit over done even for me. I think I was reading a bit too much Kukka-Maria.  I shouldn’t actually  put down stripes, although when they go the long way they can make you look fat. I mean no tabby is fat–the stripes just go the wrong way and so humans THINK they are fat.

That’ s not what I said then though.  I think I must have mellowed.  A very fine cat from the blogosphere put me in my place as my first commenter.   I wish she were still around to remind me of the beauties of other cats, especially the tabbies.

I had no idea this retrospective would make sniffle a bit.   Ta.

Tabby Tuesday

Oh we got a new toy for Chrissymouse and it is a flingamastring and Momma turns it on and I pounce a lot. Mostly I catch it but this time I did not but it is the only photo she got of me pouncing! I think I move so fast that she can’t get a good photo!

I like my toy. Cheysuli doesn’t interrupt me when I am pouncing at it either!

Now to look back at our blogging history, Momma wrote about me for over six months before she started letting me blog myself. My blog was around first but I didn’t get to post until April 9. That was a very long time. Momma wrote about me a lot from August 2005 until then, several times a week. She talked about all the fun things I did.

I also got to look back at when I started meeting all the other cats I met. Socks, Abby and Blackie were some of our first regular visitors. They don’t blog too much any more. Then I found some comments by the Meezers! They were some of the first cats we met after Kukka-Maria. She also visited me several times. Fat Eric was also an early visitor!

In July of 2007 Momma got tired of doing both blogs so she made Cheysuli and I share. We got to use Chey’s blog because it was linked to the site she had created for products for Siamese cat lovers. So I only really get Tuesdays and sometimes Thursdays…. By that time we were getting a fair number of visitors on both blogs, but I think I was always the more popular cat. I am ever so much nicer than Cheysuli.

It was very windy last night and we lost cable AGAIN!

Meezer Toe Monday

I hope you enjoy my back toes. I use these to bunny kick.

So the Woman is thinking of a retrospective. You know, end of the year and all. And she started blogging on this blog in early January 2006–three years ago, although my first post wasn’t until April (and who would want to read that before then).

So here we are coming up on the Big Three for blogging!

We have to thank the Meezers, Derby, The Big Piney Woods Cats who were then the Calico Girls and of course Kukka-Maria.

Sunday Guest Star: Laila and Minchie

Well after that very easy place, Laila and Minchie stumped you all. Cory Cat came the closest after several hints:

Are you in Ireland? I’m getting booted from the computer now…gotta go…Queenstown?

No we weren’t in Queenstown.

I was in in Cobh, Ireland, the last port of call on the Titanic’s tragic maiden voyage. Laila and Minchie say:

This is what is left of the dock it sailed from. Our Mom took a walking tour of this area and just stood there in awe picturing the Titanic all those years ago as it sailed out to the ocean, never to be seen again.

So it was quite difficult.

Derby, my human has that song stuck in her mind now. Thank you for that. It annoys her to have songs stuck in her head.

I’m sittin’ on the dock of the bay
Watching the tide roll away
Ooo, I’m just sittin’ on the dock of the bay
Wastin’ time

Max, after all the nice things I do for you…

I will not push Chey in…I will not push Chey in…I will not push Chey in…I will not push Chey in…I will not push Chey in…I will not push Chey in…I will not push Chey in…

Find Chey Friday

My what an interesting holiday I had. I had so much fun with having a ham. I visited the cats on Christmas Eve and had my favorite Baily’s Catnip Creme! How fine.

At any rate, then I decided it was time to travel and here is where I ended up!

Happy Holidays from all of us to all of you (yes we really have snow!!!!)

Tabby Tuesday Thank You

We want to thank our Secret Paw Angus Mhor for the lovely gifts. We hope our paw is as thrilled with our gifts as we were with his. It was hard to get Cheysuli away from the feathers.

I am looking foward to that good food. Georgia is a bit unfocused lately. It is hard to get her attention, as you can see–there is Chey all hyper with the feathers and Georgia is in the background not even noticing.

Yes, I am Momma used PSE to put me in the photo. She couldn’t get one with both me and Cheysuli in it and Chey looked more interested. I mean she opened this in the middle of my nap!  What was she thinking.

We have been all over the little mousie and the ball while they are under the treat–and the treat tin.

Momma got some earrings that don’t show up in this photo very well but we have one that she took holding them up to Chey’s ear. They are cute little snow men and she will probably wear them to work tomorrow.

Meezer Monday

Oh Bring us the Piggy Puddin.

Oh Bring us the Piggy Puddin

Oh Bring us the Piggy Puddin

And Bring Her Right Here.

We won’t go until we Pet Her

We won’t go until we Pet Her

We won’t go until we Pet Her

So Bring Her Right Here.

I realize I may resemble that song, but did you actually have to bring me outside so the carolers could pet me?

Sunday Solstice Guest Star: Daisy

Well it was an exciting Friday. I tried to give you all an easy one. While most of you got that I was in Kings Cross, beginning with Mr. Echo, I was looking for something more specific. In fact, I even told you exactly where I was and only Daisy was that specific.

Yes, can you imagine?! Daisy was finally correct! She said:

For once, I know EXACTLY where you are! You are at Platform 9 3/4. Right?

Victor Tabbycat was the most thorough:

King’s Cross Station, London, platform 9 3/4. Are you waiting for the Hogwarts Express? I’d LOVE to ride that train! Or derail a model of it. Either would be fun!

I do not think you could get much more specific than that. Most of you were guessing too general. Now for all those cats who did not read Harry Potter, you may want to look at the picture again as there is a small hint. Find my head and then count seven rows of bricks up and you will find it.

Now…!

Happy Solstice

I danced in the morning when the world was begun
And I danced in the moon and the stars and the sun,
And I came down from heaven and I danced on the earth,
At Bethlehem I had my birth.

Dance, then wherever you may be,
I am the Lord of the Dance, said he,
And I’ll lead you all, wherever you may be,
And I’ll lead you all in the Dance, said he….

From the Portland Revels Site:

At the conclusion of the first part of every Christmas Revels, the chorus and audience join in a serpentine song and dance, based on Sidney Carter’s song, “Lord of the Dance,” an adaptation of the Shaker song, “‘Tis a Gift To Be Simple.”

The song and dance is a brief experience of shared celebration and is, for many, the community highpoint of the show.
