Tabby Tuesday

It’s Tabby Tuesday. So Momma had lots of computer issues this weekend. Our blog was hard to get to whenever she uploaded files but it finally got fixed. She thought the people on the tech support did a reasonable job of tracking down the problem and were aware of it, even though the problem is more of a WordPress glitch where WordPress is not working and playing well with their security. Still it is working tonight and we are happy.

She is less impressed with Comcast who had her check her modem and router for 15 minutes and was going to say it wasn’t their problem when the person finally listed to Momma to check a traceroute.  (Which Momma had been asking for for awhile because it was only one website she couldn’t get to but she does work for this place) While the Comcast assistance did say it wasn’t their problem (well they are our window to the web, it SHOULD be) the problem seems to have resolved (hopefully they will not break it again.

This week on computer problems: Hostgator gets a smiley face. Comcast not so much.

Now, that was a lot of work for a kitty so I am going to watch the birds some more and nap.

Meezer Monday

I would just like to speak on this Meezer Monday on how sensitive Meezers are. We are caring and considerate cats. Having said that, I should like to add my own self imposed hardship in support of the war–rather like the war efforts of WWII.

After listening to Keith Olbermann about George Bush giving up golf in support of the families who have lost loved ones, I too have decided that I will give up golf in support these families. After all, much of the country feels nothing of the pain and worry that military families go through during this war. Unlike many wars early in the last century, there is not shared burden. Therefore, I will take on the shared burden, along with our president and stop golfing.

I have never golfed in my life but I was thinking I liked those little balls. I am sure my sacrifice will be as great as his. I am still trying to work out how golf is as important as one’s life but I am sure that it is only because I have never played.

Weekend Cat Blogging Is HERE!

To start off our Weekend Cat Blogging post is Jack, who was the first cat to guess that I was in Crater Lake! Congratulations Jack.

I also need to recognize Ping, Derby, Skeeter, LC and Ayla, Zippy, Speedy and Sadie, and Miss Peach. They all got Crater Lake (and we’ll believe the didn’t just peak at Jack’s comment!).

I have to say I quite liked Gandalf and Grayson’s comment of

Clearly, you need a larger island to contain all your Meezer-Marvelousness

Clearly they are very smart cats! Now on to the Weekend Roundup!

Kitikata-San has lovely fur and I think you’ll be itching to pet it.

Go welcome Bake My Day to Weekend Cat blogging. They can’t decide in or out–just like a regular cat huh?

Bustopher is showing us exactly what we need to do about getting him his favorite treat.

I think someone needs to be fed over at Ilnfidel.

Someone else is stuck outside at Imeowza. Is there a problem here guys?

Thankful Thursday

We are thankful that we are once again up and blogging. We almost have our main site up. You might want to take a look. It’s close (although no site is ever really finished). I do have some more recommendations to make. We of course have to write about wonderful things like nip raviolis.

Oh and over there the Male thinks I look old and wrinkly in the photo… I think he needs new glasses.

We noticed today that our server time seemed very slow, so for those of you that notice things like that, please let us know. We haven’t used this host before and are looking for feedback. We have another site that we might end up having to move and we want be sure that we have everything set.

We are all looking forward to some promised nice weather this weekend. What about you?

Back Again

Okay this time I think I have most of the photos back too! Woo Hoo!  I might just be back in business in time for Thankful Thursday!

Tabby Tuesday

Well it’s finally Tuesday. At some point today our blog will go missing for some of you. I am sure I can find it! I can find invisible bugs. Momma will download the latest backup of this post, but she won’t be backing up the comment section any more. So we will loose a few days of comments. We are sorry but it is just such a huge file and work to download.

I am enjoying all this work at home she is doing. I sleep on her feet and keep them warm. I like that and so does she.

This is a photo from last summer where I was smelling the air. I have yet to have a day where it is worth smelling the air. I think it is supposed to get warm at the end of the week. I hope so!

Meezer Monday

Chey washingWell we have been working hard all weekend to get the new site set to be put up on the host as soon as we get things moved. The Woman is becoming quite the Sql guru here as she digs through everything. We have our new site up on our wampserver and can see it but it is not live. It’s going to be very nice.

So for those who missed Sunday: I will be gone for a short time. How long depends upon how long it takes the DNS to resolve to our new host. This may be at slightly different times for all of us. Then it depends upon how fast my human can get everything uploaded to the new host. Did you know my database was over 11 MG?! I found that most of that was comments

So I am pleased to say that things are going well. Gemini should be able to post tomorrow and then we’ll see what happens!

While you miss me, maybe you should go by a raffle ticket at Cat Friends Helping Friends.

Sunday Guest Star

Wow! Someone actually guessed correctly! I am so proud of Kellie the Orange Cat for being my first correct guesser! YEAH!

Oh my gosh, oh my gosh – I actually know where this is!

It is the ceiling over the stage of the Shakespeare’s Globe in London, South East London to be exact!

You look great up there Chey.

And Yao-lin knew we were in London!

I have to say that the honorary “I liked this creative answer best” goes to Dragonheart and Merlin!

Wow, Chey, it looks like they’ve created a new astrological symbol just for you! :) How exciting! Of course, Siamese are so elegant and special, they should have had their own astrological sign long before now!

Indeed they SHOULD create a new astrological symbol just for me! What a grand idea. I am off to talk to Bast.

For my loyal readers, we will be changing hosts and also our address sometime next week.  We expect that we might be down for a couple of days, starting midweek. When we return, rather than being here at mysiamese.com, we will be at mysiamese.com. We will try and have a page that reminds you when we come back. Also when everything is working properly, we will let the catblogosphere know. For those of you who use feedreaders, those will need to be updated as well (I think)

I am sorry for the inconvenience but we had one too many things go wrong with our host! We hope that it will be a matter of hours, but it could be as long as three days.
