Sunday Guest Star

Well Pepi and I managed to fool everyone. I thought maybe you East Coast Cats would have a better chance at this one. Pepi sent me to the Healing Garden at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in Richmond, VA. It’s not far from where the Hottie’s live.

Many of you were able to guess that it was a Botanical Garden. I give Dr. Tweety a thumbs up for Guessing Bastyr. Bastyr University is only a short way from our home and has a wonderful healing garden (but not quite this wonderful!)

I liked the comment that Camie’s Kitties had:

It looks like you are on one of the garden sets for the Star Trek:TOS. The sky doesn’t look quite real, and everything else looks too perfect to be real either, so it must be a television set. And we are guessing you are picking Star Trek in honor of Karl and Ruis.

Tiki, Tavi, Cody and Camie

I thought that was a very good comment. Daisy also had an intriguing comment:

Is it where the Matt proposed to Shayne on The Bachelor? It always happens in a round garden-type spot.

Junior was thinking along those same lines. As I haven’t watched the Bachelor, how can we know it’s not the garden? Perhaps Pepi will come by and tell us?

Find Chey Friday

So there I was, on my way to the wedding and I had to stop off to be in a Find Chey sort of place.

Where have I stopped off?  Let me know what you think.  Oh and I have an additional rule: If you give me a photo that I use for Find Chey Friday, you may not guess!

However if you are given hints by my human, that is fair game!  Full rules are here.

Now after you figure out where I am, get over and enjoy the wedding!

Thankful Thursday

Well we are thankful that Cheysuli’s attack was not worse. I am also thankful that we seem to have found out the source of Gree’s problem. Now we can only hope we find out why Mini is so stressed out!

Gemini and Georgia decided to snuggle. Now that’s sort of unusual in our house!

And I got to sit on my human’s lap a lot yesterday. I love to do that and to purr.  In fact, it was particularly nice that I got to do that in the evening without having to sit close to the Male because she was upstairs and not sitting by him!

From the Cat Post Intelligencer:

CANDIDATE CHEYSULI RECOVERS FROM SHOOTING!

Late yesterday afternoon Critters for Total World Domination Candidate Cheysuli was giving a speech to a supporter when a blonde woman who barged in and began shooting at her. Cheysuli hit the deck and bodyguard Nubi Wan Kenobi fended off bullets with his light saber.

Ranger, Cheysuli’s other loyal bodyguard wrestled the woman to the ground and took her into custody.  Cheysuli was winged on her ear but there should be no lasting damage.  In fact, supporters said this could be good for her image giving her the look of having the clipped ear that most feral cats get.

Cheysuli was not the only candidate to be having a bad day. Hillary Clinton was released from jail upon what her advisers stated were trumped up charges.   Ms. Clinton was not carrying an unpermitted concealed weapon.  It was further NOT the weapon that shot at Candidate Cheysuli, despite being found at the scene and Mrs. Clinton being the woman wrestled to the ground by Cheysuli’s bodyguard company Rangeman Enterprises.

Tabby Tuesday

It was a very long weekend. Momma and Dad were home most of the time. They went to Alki Beach to take photos and they saw a pug like Roxy! I hope they do not go and get a pug. Dad does not like pugs so much. He likes Beagles. Momma is not excited about a Beagle so I think maybe I am mostly safe.

I swatted Cheysuli several times and I snuggled with Georgia. I looked out the window a lot. I think Dad needs to mow the lawn again!

Dad got Sim City 4 Deluxe and Momma put it on her computer so she has been wasting lots of time. At least she has a good Mayor named Gemini!

Memorial Meezer Monday Meme

I have decided that today is a good day to alliterate my title! It is of course Memorial Day and the day we must remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

The Zoo tagged me for a Meme and the Woman is finally getting around to typing it up for me (she is so lazy). It is the usefulness meme so I have to list 7 things about me.

This was hard as the last one is, of course the most important.

  1. I eat the food Georgia leaves behind so it doesn’t go to waste.
  2. I keep the Woman warm when she is cold
  3. I wake her in the morning when she does not set her alarm clock (like on Saturday) so that she does not forget to get me my breakfast
  4. I tell people what to do
  5. I snoopervise
  6. I keep Gemini fit and trim
  7. I exist so that others can worship me.

So those are some of my most useful characteristics.

Sunday Guest Star

Well I was surprised that this was not a more famous site.   Derby got it.  I was in Kew Gardens. I had hoped it was famous enough that someone could tell me the name of that building but Derby couldn’t!

Ok mum is tired. If she told your beans to go there, and it is a big place, so maybe she didn’t see all of it. Are you hanging out in Kew Gardens? Looking like the prettiest of the flowers?

Mum says she is brain dead and needs sleep.

And alas my human is not smart enough to know.  I was rescued by a little Welsh Cobb named Phillipa and she was the finest of girls pulling a little cart where I sprawled out until she told me it was time to teleport home.

Sam, Sabrina and Simon were also right, but not as specific. They said I was in a botanical garden, which describes Kew Gardens.

The Meezers say I am in their backyard.   I thought they lived in the states though, but I can understand how this might look like their backyard.  Where, Miles, exactly was the Borg ship that assimilated us?

Mickey and Alexi apparently summer with the Meezers.  Mickey described his summer cottage. Alexi said it was his summer hut (Miles, Sammy and Billy you apparently live in a hut?!)

And Meezers, I would watch what sort of signals you send out. I believe Skeeter, LC and Ayla have figured out why the Borg are always in your backyard:

While I don’t recognize the building in question directly, the pattern of the the shades in the windows is standard Klingon reverse-analog signal code for “Captain Picard’s house in France is very ugly and his wine is even unfit for those drunken Andorian peasants”.

So for all of you who never know where I am, not to worry.   We are interspersing some of these harder ones with other easier ones and eventually I’ll end up some place you do recognize!  And don’t hesitate to make something up.

Find Chey Friday

Well, it’s been a sad week for all of us. Our thoughts are with Victor and his family.

As for me, I wandered out of Crater Lake and found myself here. I really need to start paying attention to where I am. Do you know?

The full rules (and fact that I do try and recognize the most interesting guesses as well as the most correct guess) are here!

Oh and Gemini wants to give hugs to all the blogosphere kitties that we have met. Kukka Maria actually found us.  The name of Meezertails in her blogroll intrigued us.  We liked them so much we started visiting other blogs from there and suddenly my human had a habit.

No, I do not do hugs.  I’m just not that kind of cat but I will allow you to look at me from a distance and worship…

Now do you need more cats? Do you know it’s the weekend?

Thankful Thursday

This thankful Thursday we would like to offer our thanks to those who have devoted their lives to trying to make the world a better place. The way we would like to do this is to have a purr in for Senator Ted Kennedy who was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. The prognosis for this diagnosis is poor so as he fights this battle, I am sure he can use all our good thoughts and prayers.

It is interesting that Senator Kennedy is a man who might be seen as being overshadowed by his brothers. He was the youngest and is the only one surviving. History will never forget John Kennedy and certainly Bobby Kennedy made his mark on a nation, despite not living to see an election. Ted Kennedy never grabbed our attention in that way, yet here he is nearly 40 years later serving in the Senate.

Consider that Senator Kennedy is everything the new Conservatives have tried to get voters to hate. He is wealthy, education and above all a man who believes government should assist those who work for their dinner. Corporations couldn’t fight him so they have tried to bring him down.

I am thankful that our nation has had men like this serving it for over 200 hundred years. Let’s purr for Kennedy’s health and purr that our nation will have more men and women like this in the years to come. The Kennedy’s have exemplified that running our government is a service, not a place for self glory. In fact, I am so inspired perhaps I will rethink my bid for presidency as I believe I do it because I feel a need to be worshipped…

Breaking News:  While we added Bonnie Underfoot to our purr list, she has decided to walk her own way across the bridge.  Please go offer her family your condolences.

Meezer Rule Wednesday

Everyone must join Mimi in the blog blast for peace! It’s my new meezer rule. Here I am looking pensive as I try and decide what to put on my peace globe.

As a meezer, of course I have such high standards to live up to. It must be original, charming and slightly funny and completely unexpected.

So why should you join in?

  • Peace takes so much less energy
  • I’m a cat, I’d rather nap than have to manage a war
  • I really want to take up golfing
  • John Daily won’t be able to make bad puns about the Golf War
  • The National Guard can actually guard the nation and keep us safe from terrorism.
  • Imagine trying to play with a toy and have it be an IAD
  • I don’t look good with radiation poisoning
  • I’m a cat. We’re lovers not fighters–well most of us.

So those are just some of the reasons to participate in the Blog Blast for Peace. What are your reasons?
